Savings

How do I open a Savings account?

You will need to complete an application form and provide the necessary identification eg utility bills, driving licence or passport.  There are no application fees or running costs other than a £2 deduction from your first deposit to cover our administrative costs.

Paying in to your account

You don’t have to commit to paying a fixed amount into your savings account – even small amounts saved regularly can add up.   To pay in to your account you can:

  • visit your local office to pay in cash or cheques;
  • set up a standing order (see the downloads page for a form) to pay in a regular amount;
  • post a cheque to us (do not post cash).

Dividends paid into your account

Our savings account pays an annual dividend which depends on how well the Credit Union has done that year and is paid gross of tax.

Taking money out of your account

You can request a withdrawal from your account by visiting your local officewriting to or calling us. There are no penalties for withdrawing funds from your account.
